CBT Cross-border Trade - the act of selling to buyers from aboard, e.g., the seller is in the UK and the buyer in Germany.
CBT Specialist Cross-border Trade specialist - agents specialized in the rules and regulations of Cross-border trade.
Commercial program Any of our paying programs: PAYG, Premium, Silver, Gold, Platinum (eBay's ESB and IGP programs are not maintained by WebInterpret).
Commission The act of charging a percentage fee for a transaction or service. WebInterpret charges a small fee for every item sold internationally. For more information, check this Help Center article.
Customer Success Agent Sellers are contacted by a WebInterpret Customer Success Agent after a set number of weeks on our plan. The agent will walk the seller through their international sales history and propose making changes to their account in order to improve performance.
Distance selling The act of selling to buyers from another country. Also refered to a Cross-border Trade.
Domestic buyer Buyers who are located in the country or marketplace where the item in question is listed.
ECB European Central Bank. Prices of items internationally listed by WebInterpret are adjusted to currency rates set by the ECB.
Exclusion system A system which prevents European buyers from purchasing items from certain marketplaces. For example, a German buyer will not be able to buy an item from the French marketplace.
Filtering system The new WebInterpret User Interface now includes an items filtering system. It lets sellers sort and filter items based on various criterias. You can read more about it here.
Fixed price Platforms like eBay can list items with dynamic prices (Auctions, Best Offer, etc.). Fixed prices are static.
Free shipping Platforms like eBay and Amazon let sellers use "free shipping" on their offers. WebInterpret can localize those listings with the same service by adjusting the price of localized items. For more information, read this Help Center article.

Human quality An automated translation whose quality is as good a human translation. WebInterpret translated items descriptions using an auto-translation tool that generates human quality translations.
Insertion fees eBay charges fees for each new listing created on their service. Though WebInterpret does not charge insertion fees, eBay does. For more information, please read this Help Center article.
International listing An item that has been listed internationally by WebInterpret. Such items mirror an original item counterpart, located in the seller's original country of operation.
Live chat A service WebInterpret offers to all its clients. Once sellers have created an WebInterpret account they can log into their user dashboard and directly communicate with a support agent concerning any issue. Localization The act of translating an original items content, as well as adapting its categories, currency, shipping, terms and size conversion charts to a foreign marketplace
Marketplace Refers to a platform's country website like ebay.fr and ebay.de, or amazon.fr and amazon.de
Mirror The act of localizing an original item's terms, conditions, item duration, categories, shipping rates and other parameters to the foreign market where it will be listed.
Native language The language of the original marketplace.
Onboarding Wizard The process through which a seller enables WebInterpret on their platform. The Onboarding Wizard guides sellers through various steps like linking their account to WebInterpret, setting international shipping costs, to setting up return policies.
Original item The original item that is localized in other marketplaces.

Payment link A link sent to clients when assigning a new PayPal account.

Re-authorize Refers to the act or reconnecting a revoked token with WebInterpret. For more information on tokens, please read this Help Center guide.
Return policy A policy that defines what to do in case a client wants to return or exchange a purchased item. Some platforms (eBay, Amazon, etc.), require that all sellers specify a return policy on items sold.
Revoked token Refers to the broken connection between a user's token and WebInterpret. For more information on tokens, please read this Help Center guide.
Sales history A summary of all the transactions of a particular item. A sales history shows how well an item performs in each marketplace.
Sales summary A summary of all the items sold on a platform like eBay or Amazon.
Selling threshold When distance selling, you do not need to register your business in each foreign EU country where you sell items until you breach that country's selling threshold. For more information on thresholds, check this article.
Shipping exclusion Platforms like eBay and Amazon allow sellers to set shipping exclusions to specific states, territories, regions, or countries. Shipping rates The cost of shipping items to specific countries or regions.

Size chart validation The act of validating a size conversion chart. The validation process is done through our user interface.

Stock levels The amount of items remaining in stock.
Stock synchronization The process by which stock levels of localized and original items is updated to match the most current levels across all marketplaces.
Subscription fees Monthly or yearly fees used in our Premium programs.
Synchronization The process by which the information of localized items is synchronized to original items.
Title The most important element of a listed item. Titles have to clearly and accurately convey what is being sold. Search queries mainly check terms in item titles to generate results.
Translist The act of translating, manipulating and adapting an item to a foreign market on eBay and Amazon, e.g., “We will translist 100 items to the German market” or “We have translisted all your items.” (Does not apply to Online Stores.)
Translisting An item that has been translated and localized to a foreign market on eBay and Amazon, e.g., “Your translisting has been modified.” (Does not apply to Online Stores.)
User interface WebInterpret allows sellers manage their international listings via a dashboard located here. The interface lets users filter items, set shipping rates, customize translations and more. For more details about the new User Interface, please read this Help Center article.
Validated charts If items selected for international listing come in different sizes, they will require a size conversion chart. Items selected by WebInterpret automatically receive such charts, but they need to be validated by the seller. Please check this Help Center article for more information.
VAT VAT (Value Added Tax) is a tax paid at each stage of the production process, up to and including the sale to the final consumer. If you are an EU-based company, VAT is chargeable on most of your sales and purchases except exports to countries outside the EU.
